The responsibility for the management of a high rise condominium lies with the Board of Directors and a Property or General Manager.

The mission of Community Association Institutes' High Rise Advisory Council is to promote a free exchange of ideas and information between the high rise residential professions and to provide a forum of support and continuing education. The Council is comprised of Houston Area High Rise Managers who are members of Community Association Institute and whose buildings meet the criteria of a High Rise.

The Advisory Council hosts monthly meetings, held the second Wednesday of each month. Topics vary monthly but typically include Fire and Life Safety, Hurricane and Emergency Response, Parliamentary Procedures, Financials/Reserve Study, Preventative Maintenance, and other operational issues of mutual concern.
